Driving rules

Drive on the right side of the road and respect the speed limits, which generally are 60km/h in urban areas and 100km/h on highways. Seatbelts are compulsory, and the use of mobile phones while driving is prohibited.

Parking

Parking in Aït Benhaddou can be somewhat tricky due to its popularity with tourists. There are paid parking lots available nearby, including at the base of the ksar for a small fee.

The ksar itself is a must-visit. The ascent to the granary at the top of the hill is well worth the effort for its breathtaking views.
