Explore Dayuan at your own pace with a rental car. Secure parking spaces are available in most areas, making it convenient for visitors. Moreover, the large format road signs and English language GPS systems make it easier to navigate through the district. Remember that in Taiwan, you drive on the right side of the road.
If you prefer public transport, the district is well-serviced by buses and taxis. However, a rental car offers flexibility and allows you to more easily explore the abundant attractions at your own pace.
Dayuan's key attractions include the Cihu Memorial Sculpture Park, the Taoyuan International Baseball Stadium, and the gorgeous Yongan fishing port. Some recommended routes include the coastal highway drive, offering a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean, and a drive along Provincial Highway 15, known for its beautiful countryside.
The district is home to Taiwan's largest international airport, Taoyuan International Airport. Nearby cities include Linkou, Taoyuan City, and the modern metropolis of Taipei, all easily accessible by car and offering different facets of Taiwanese culture and history.
Dayuan experiences a humid subtropical climate. The summer season (May to September) is warm and humid, whereas winters (November to March) are mild and comfortable. The annual Beach Music Festival is a must-visit cultural event hosting local and international musicians and attracting music lovers from all around.
The official currency in Dayuan, like the rest of Taiwan, is the New Taiwan Dollar (NT$). International credit and debit cards are widely accepted, and ATMs are readily available across the district.
