Driving to Your Destination
Exiting the airport, you'll find toll expressways and national roads leading to various parts of the Hiroshima Prefecture. If you're heading to Hiroshima City, take the Sanyo Expressway. The drive usually takes around 40-60 minutes depending on traffic. Do remember, in Japan, people drive on the left side of the road.
Gas Stations and Parking
Gas stations aren't hard to come by in Hiroshima. Some of the closest to the airport include ENEOS and Idemitsu, within a few kilometers. These stations also offer self-service, so make sure to familiarise with their operation beforehand.
Climate and Best-Time-to-Visit
Hiroshima has a humid subtropical climate, complete with all four seasons. The city's cherry blossom in spring (late March to April) and colorful foliage in fall (November) is exceptionally beautiful. Weather during these periods is also pleasantly mild, making it a popular time for visitors.

The currency used in Hiroshima, like the rest of Japan, is the Japanese Yen (JPY). There are ATMs at the airport where you can withdraw cash, and most of the establishments accept major credit cards as well.
