Various car rental services are available at Kushiro Airport and in Nakashibetsu town. Economy and compact cars are simply perfect for solo travelers or couples, while for family trips, a full-size or an SUV would be more comfortable and convenient.
East Hokkaido boasts some of the most beautiful scenic drives in Japan. One popular route is the panoramic road from Nakashibetsu to Rausu which offers stunning views of mountains, sea, and wildlife.
